Batapoint Otrokovice

Are you curious about what the Baťa houses looked like on the inside? The brick houses built for employees of the Baťa Group remain among the most popular places to live in Zlín and Otrokovice to this day. You can get a glimpse of the original interiors only at the Baťa Housing Infopoint and, newly, at the Baťapoint in Otrokovice. What does it look like inside?

Baťapoint in Otrokovice opened in the spring of 2026. Until recently a normally inhabited Baťa house, it now serves as an exhibition of Baťa housing. On the lower floor, you’ll find informational panels and a video presentation; on the upper floor, a stylized interior from the 1930s, when the Baťa houses were built.

Baťapoint will be open to the public until October 2026. It will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Guided tours are led by Mr. Michal Kobylík. Individual visits can also be arranged by appointment.

Where to go next?

You can find more information about Baťa housing at the Baťa Housing Infopoint on Nad Ovčírnou Street in Zlín. There are files on the houses and employees, standardized housing elements, and plenty of interesting facts about the typical Zlín brick houses.

The opening of the Baťapoint in Otrokovice is part of the celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of Tomáš Baťa’s birth. Check out what other events you can attend as part of the celebrations.
